Win family tickets to Crufts in March 2013
Tail wagging fun for all the family!
To win tickets to this wonderful event answer the below questions….
The biggest and best dog event in the world is returning to Birmingham’s NEC on the 7 – 10th March 2013, and is set to be the best yet! The Pets and Animals Directory have teamed up with DFS Crufts to offer you the chance to win one of 6 pairs of tickets to the 2013 event!
Originally founded in 1873, the Kennel Club’s sole consideration was to regulate the conduct of dog shows and trials, and then later to register dogs to avoid the duplication of a name in the stud book. Whilst these functions remain, the Kennel Club has developed in ways that could not possibly have been imagined when it was established in Victorian times. Crufts, first held in 1891 with under 2,500 entries, Crufts’ success has snowballed and the event is now a massive world-famous celebration of healthy, happy dogs – with over 25000 dogs set to attend in March. The event will be jam-packed with fun activities, interesting trade stands and fantastic events, all showcasing the diverse role that dogs play in society.
The event – one of the most popular at the NEC – is seen as being the greatest dog event on the planet and this is partly down to the sheer size of it; Crufts covers five halls at the NEC, as well as the main Arena, which adds to the buzz and creates an exciting atmosphere.
One of the most popular parts of the event is the Discover Dogs area, where visitors can come and see around 190 different breeds of dog and find out which breed would be perfect for them. There is also a dedicated section for breed rescue volunteers, who work to ensure that unwanted and abandoned dogs find a good home. Visitors can also learn about Kennel Club Assured Breeders, who put the health and happiness of their puppies first and ensure all necessary health checks are carried out – so this area is definitely worth a visit.
Welfare charities, veterinary organisations and experts from across the whole spectrum of the dog world come together for Crufts to help promote healthy and happy dogs as well as encourage people to responsibly breed, buy, train and care for their dogs in a fun and engaging way. Health is at the heart of the show and Crufts is the world’s best platform to talk to experts about how we can work together to ensure that man is and always remains a dog’s best friend.
